Owner of 2 Bar C Ranch and Hometown Meat Market, Clyde Sommerlatte, spent decades working on ways to improve his herds. Through research, breeding programs, and his regenerative style of ranching, the 2 - C Registered Black Angus herd is one of the top in the nation. Clyde’s desire to breed well-marbled, feed efficient cattle is impacting both registered and commercial herds nationwide.
At 2 Bar C, we want to offer our customers the same quality of meat that we consume ourselves, so our beef is all-natural, pasture-raised here in Central Texas. We do not use hormones, mRNA vaccines, or antibiotics. Our stewardship and care for the animals begin with how we care for the land.
Our cattle are grass-fed and grain-finished on locally sourced grains. Finishing them on grain enhances their marbling and flavor, and our beef grades Choice or Prime.

Our Meat Bundles
No two consumers are exactly alike, so we offer a variety of Bundle options! Our regular Bundles and monthly specials are an ideal way to fill your freezer, stock up for a grilling weekend, remove some of the hassle of grocery shopping, send a welcomed gift, and try new items. We utilize as much of the animal as possible, so you will enjoy a variety of cuts in most of your bundles.
We can ship bundles to you or someone you choose once or on a regular basis.
